LEAs are reminded that the school fiscal year 2026 consolidated applications for the ESSA and IDEA programs are due to RIDE by July 1, 2025. Federal regulations require that LEAs submit a substantially approvable application to RIDE, prior to incurring any expenditures under a covered federal grant program. RIDE has noticed that a significant number of LEAs have not started working on their consolidated applications and strongly encourages all LEAs to do so since the July 1st deadline is fast approaching. Preliminary allocations to LEAs for Title's I (A), I (D), and IV and IDEA Part B and Preschool have been loaded into the applications. RIDE anticipates receiving the Title II and III preliminary allocations from the U.S. Department of Education within the next few days. Small placeholder allocations were loaded into the subaward system (AcceleGrants 2.0 (AG2)) in April to allow districts to start and complete a large portion of the consolidated applications prior to the loading of FY 2026 preliminary allocations.
While we understand the challenge of not having complete preliminary allocations, please prioritize completing your fiscal year 2026 consolidated application for ESSA and IDEA programs by July 1. RIDE will provide remaining federal allocations as soon as available.
Additionally, please note that the project period for the consolidated resource plan (CRP) for FY 2025 has been extended through September 30, 2026. All unspent balances after June 30, 2025, will remain in the original AcceleGrants system (AG1) and will not be transferred into the new AG2 system. For LEAs not expending all their available FY 2025 CRP funding through June 30,2025, a second amendment opportunity will be provided in AG1 later in this calendar year to budget and expend those remaining available balances after LEAs have calculated those post June 30, 2025, balances.
